Our story
What started eight years ago with founder Rayhaan Cassim has grown into a full-service creative studio — now co-led by his business partner of fifteen years, Muhammad Chopdat.
Pixel8 is a Johannesburg photography studio working with businesses and individuals who understand that presentation matters. A luxury product, a corporate function, a personal portrait, a full brand identity — the brief changes, the standard doesn’t.
From the lead creatives to the editors working behind the scenes, the whole team is pointed at one thing: turning an abstract idea into clean, intentional, market-ready visuals.
Anyone can hold a camera at an event. The difference shows up two weeks later, when you open the gallery.
Prime lenses, off-camera lighting and someone who reads a room before shooting it — so a dim reception hall and a harsh midday car park both come back clean, sharp and correctly exposed.
No batch preset dumped over the set. Every delivered frame is graded individually for colour, skin tone and contrast, so the gallery holds together as one body of work.
We arrive early, we know the run sheet, and we carry backups of everything that matters. You get an agreed delivery date up front — and we hit it.
Tell us the date, the place and roughly what you need. You get a written quote — not a “let’s chat about budget”.
We agree the shot list, the timings and the locations before the day, so nothing important gets improvised.
